The North Eastman Health Association
Diabetes Education Resource has been in existence since 1987. A Primary Health Care Nurse Educator and Registered Dietitian are available in six areas in our region for people
with diabetes, to provide information about this disease. These
teams of diabetes educators travel to many communities in North
Eastman on a regular basis. Please contact the team in your area for more information.
In 2004, The North Eastman Health Association - Diabetes Education Resource partnered with MB Telehealth to pilot a unique approach to providing local and timely access to information about diabetes including advice on monitoring, diet, medication and active living. Karen and Sharlene were the cutting edge leaders in making this website possible.
